Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology, Schaumburg, IL, USA

The world’s largest library, museum, and archives devoted to the history of anesthesia are housed within the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology (WLM), in suburban Chicago.

The Scope

Completed in partnership with Solid Light, a Louisville, Kentucky museum design firm, the Legacy Hall Floor Display Cabinets included perhaps the most variably sized objects of all artifact-rich exhibits within the museum.

Legacy Floor Cabinets ranged through themes including early inhalers, intraoperative monitoring, general anesthesia, oxygenation, and regional anesthesia.

Challenge

Although this project was simple and smooth, the quality of the delivered product needed to be impeccable, and the coordination with Solid Light through a tight budget and timeline was probably the main challenge with this project.

Our Solutions

Solid Light was the ideal partner for this project. Their needs and expectations were very clear, and their cooperation was greatly appreciated.

A good communication and weekly follow-ups are always important to the realization of any project.
