We are thrilled to share fragments of our collaboration with the esteemed Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas. This project highlights our dedication to innovative design and our commitment to preserving and showcasing art in the most sophisticated manner.

The Spencer Museum of Art, a cultural gem in Kansas, houses over 45,000 art objects, serving more than 100,000 visitors annually. Our task was to design modular display cases that would complement the museum's new exhibit, "Displacement," which explores themes of migration, resettlement, and the intricate narratives of home.

Design Challenges and Solutions

Flexibility and Adaptability. The exhibit required a solution that could evolve over time. Our modular display cases, finished in elegant white with low iron glass, provide exceptional clarity and minimal color distortion, enhancing the visual impact of the artwork. These cases are designed to be reconfigured easily, offering the museum flexibility for future exhibitions.

Aesthetic Integration. The design needed to blend seamlessly with the museum's existing architecture while providing a modern touch. The white finish of our display cases adds a sleek, contemporary feel, while the high-quality materials ensure durability and security for the art pieces.

Enhancing Visitor Experience. Our goal was to create an engaging and immersive experience for visitors. The museum display cases' clear, unobstructed views allow for close examination of the art, inviting visitors to connect deeply with the themes of the exhibit. The strategic placement and lighting of the cases also play a crucial role in guiding the visitor's journey through the exhibition.
