Collection Cultural Museum Artifacts
In 2015, we had the privilege of collaborating with Montreal-Trudeau International Airport to create four custom freestanding wall display cases. These cases were meticulously designed to meet museum-grade conservation standards while complementing the architectural vision of the airport.
Positioned strategically within the terminal, they provide an engaging cultural experience for travelers, showcasing Montreal's rich heritage and artistic excellence.
Scope of the Project
Working in partnership with Lemay+CHA/JLP Architects, our team designed, fabricated, and installed four freestanding sectional wall display cases tailored to the airport's specific needs. These cases, developed from detailed architectural plans, were created to house and protect significant artifacts while blending seamlessly into the airport’s design aesthetic.
The display cases were crafted to meet the highest standards of artifact conservation, ensuring long-term preservation in an environment with fluctuating conditions. From initial concept to final installation, the project required collaboration & precision to deliver a solution that met the unique demands of a high-traffic public space.
Immersing Travelers in Montreal’s Cultural Essence
These display cases are part of a broader effort to showcase Montreal’s vibrant cultural identity. Beyond the artifacts presented in the cases, the airport features large, captivating murals created by local artists, offering a visual celebration of the city’s creative spirit. Travelers can also explore showcases dedicated to Montréal’s most prominent museums, including the Montreal Contemporary Art Museum (MAC), Pointe-à-Callière, the McCord Museum, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
Together, these elements create a dynamic cultural journey, ensuring that passengers connect with the city’s heritage and artistry before even leaving the terminal.
