The Art of Museum Display Case: Ingenuity of Our Floating Wall Table
The Aesthetic. We created this "table-wall" display case to convey a feeling of weightlessness and levitation, a theme that is reflected across all of the museum display cases in our product line. Our objective is to reduce any visual distractions and direct visitors' attention towards the artwork, rather than the display case itself. The object is elegantly placed on a "floating" plate and protected by a glass enclosure. The display case is minimalist yet refined, allowing the displayed object to take center stage. This concept has inspired our aesthetic decisions.
The Shape. The display case's sleek design and the use of high-quality materials, such as anti-reflective glass, elevate the featured artwork. The support for the presentation plate has intentionally been placed in the background, giving the illusion of a "floating" surface. This effect accentuates the artwork, naturally drawing our attention to it. The anodized aluminum finish, with its clean edges and square corners, heightens the precision of the shapes and the linear impression of the display case. Opting for this finish, as well as anti-reflective glass, adds to the product's and its contents' quality and prestige.
Function. The design of a conservation display case serves three main purposes: to present, preserve, and protect invaluable collections. However, the complexity of its design lies in the fact that it must adhere to established conservation standards set by recognized authorities in the field, such as the Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI), the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), and the American Institute for Conservation (AIC). These rigorous standards ensure that objects are displayed in a safe and stable environment, thereby preserving their long-term integrity.

Our minimalist display case is designed to be discreet yet protective, enhancing collections while blending seamlessly into its surroundings. Made from inert, non-polluting materials and ODDY-tested, it ensures safe preservation. Its extra-clear laminated anti-reflective glass offers 98% UV protection, while specialized seals and a concealed silica gel cartridge regulate air and humidity for optimal conservation.
For security, a high-security locking system and laminated glass with a reinforced PVB interlayer provide maximum protection against breakage and intrusion.
