A unique case for the Audubon Double Elephant Folio

The San Diego Natural History Museum maintains a complete natural history reference library, with a 56,000 volume collection that includes both standard and obscure references, journals, rare books and maps. One of the Museum’s rare books, The Audubon Double Elephant Folio, is no longer hidden behind the scenes and can be viewed inside a wonderful large table top case that was specially built to present, preserve and protect this masterpiece from Audubon. The table top case includes a display deck that slides out to allow the book to complete come out and make it easier for the staff to change the folios and present different paintings.
The San Diego Natural History Museum made a great video which we invite you to view by clicking here.
